St. Joseph's Community Health Foundation awards grants to area organizations
The St. Joseph's Community Health Foundation prides itself on giving to organizations in need and Wednesday it did just that.
At its 19th annual regional grants luncheon, the foundation gave $400,000 to more than 90 area non-profits that benefit the community.
That number brought dollar total of gifts granted by the Foundation since 2011 to $6.8 million.
“It fills my heart; it fills the board's hearts that we are able to create a better quality of life for people in their communities through the organizations that work so hard on a daily basis,” said Shelly Weppler, president of the St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation.
Some of the organizations that will benefit from the grants are the Minot Commission on Aging, food pantries, summer camp opportunities and university scholarships.
