OLIVER COUNTY, N.D. - Dozens of people headed to Nelson Lake Saturday for a very special reason.
An effort by the North Dakota Association for the Disabled, The Aberdeen Aqua Addicts, and Sporting Chance has been helping people with disabilities water ski since the early 1990s.
Able bodied skiers ride alongside participants to help them as they make their trip around the lake.
"It was really scary. The waves were a little choppy, but I really want to go skiing one last time," said Elijah Perdue, first time skier.
