BISAMRCK, N.D. - Dan's Supermarket in South Bismarck gave a $1,000 check from the company's Direct Your Dollars program to the Solheim Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization.

It's the first time Dan's South has gave this donation, and it's only the second time a Bismarck store has done so. The school raised 150 thousand dollars in receipts, and turned it in. This earned $1,000 for their non-profit organization.

"Knowing that it's going toward the kids and the teachers at the schools in Bismarck, I'm very excited about it. I think it's going to be a great and more to come," said Store Director Loren Olson.

Anyone can participate in the Direct Your Dollars program. All you have to do is collect receipts you get from a participating grocery store like Dan's Supermarket, and turn them into a non-profit organization of your choosing.
