State Department of Environmental Quality leaders say the Hess Corporation reported a spill of 377 barrels of source water near Ray.
Company leaders say the spill happened Tuesday because of a damaged gasket. It impacted agriculture land.
Source water is used for enhanced oil recovery. It has more dissolved minerals and solids than fresh water, but lower chlorides than produced water.
