A specific flavor of Progresso soup has been taken off of shelves at a Dollar Tree store in Minot after a customer said they found a piece of plastic in their soup.

The Dollar Tree store at 401 40th Avenue SW Ste. 105, near the Minot Walmart, pulled the soup.

The soup in question is the Progresso light zesty southwest style vegetable soup.

The store’s manager confirmed with Your News Leader they had pulled the soup from their shelves after receiving the customer’s complaint.

He said Dollar Tree typically does not offer refunds, though they are consulting with their district manager on the issue, and could not comment further.

If a customer faces a similar issue they are advised to throw the food away.

Customers with issues can call the store at (701) 838-3543.

Customers can also submit concerns to Progresso’s parent company General Mills at: https://contactus.generalmills.com/?
