Snowfall doesn't stop shoppers on Small Business Saturday

BISMARCK, N.D. - While the snow has forced people to change their travel plans, it did not keep shoppers home today. Downtown Bismarck was filled with shoppers today, celebrating Small Business Saturday.

Most business owners started deals yesterday because they weren't sure how much snow would affect travel. One Bismarck owner said his 4,000 pound candy delivery couldn't reach Bismarck in time because of the winter weather.

"The snow has put a kink of some of my deliveries. We're got probably 4,000 pounds that are in delivery route in different stages," said Dakota Nuts-N-Candy owner, Michael Iken.

Iken said he still had enough stock for the weekend and people continued to come to his store throughout the day.
