UPDATE: Shot fired at Bismarck Gun Show

UPDATE 9/30/2019: We have an update for you after a gun was discharged at the Bismarck Gun Show on Saturday morning.

Bismarck Police say a 71-year-old Devils Lake man was working as a vendor at the gun show inside the Bismarck Event Center, when he pulled the trigger on a colt revolver he was selling.

The man told police he was showing someone how the single action trigger worked and didn't realize he had a bird shot shell in the chamber.

The shot went up into the air and no one was injured.

Police say a report for unlawful discharge of a weapon has been sent to the city attorney’s office.

ORIGINAL STORY 9/28/2019: A close call at the Bismarck Gun Show. Bismarck Police say someone discharged a firearm Saturday morning inside the show at the Bismarck Event Center.

It's unknown if it was a customer or vendor who fired the gun.

Police say no one was injured and the incident is under investigation.
