Sheridan Simms, suspect in Minot homicide investigation, arrested in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV – Sheridan Simms, one of the suspects sought after in connection with a homicide investigation in Minot was taken into custody in Las Vegas, Nev., Thursday, according to Minot Police.

The 30-year-old Simms was wanted on charges of hindering law enforcement and child neglect.

Prosecutors say that Simms may have helped another suspect in the case, 27-year-old Donald Lee Cooper, Jr., flee the state.

Cooper is wanted for being an accomplice to murder, in connection with the death of 29-year-old Dominick Stephens.

Two other men charged in the case are currently in custody.
