Share the Music Program helps student fulfill their dreams

Bismarck Public Schools is making sure every student can fulfill their musical dreams.

It started the Share the Music Program in 2014, where former musicians can donate instruments for students with financial limitations.

“As much as it's about the instruments and it's financial in nature, you know the real heart of this program is getting kids involved in band so they can have relationships and become healthy adults,” BPS Fine Arts Coordinator Shawn Oban.

All instruments are sent to the repair shop before they're loaned out to the students.

You can bring donations to the Hughes Education Center.
