Sertoma Club pulls plug on Bismarck's long-time tradition of 'Christmas in the Park'

BISMARCK, N.D. - It's lights out for an annual Christmas tradition in Bismarck. The Sertoma Club has announced that Christmas in the Park has retired after 22 years.

Club President Chris Whalen says the lighted Christmas-themed displays has been a wonderful fundraiser, but it's time to move on.

It's estimated a total of $350,000 has been donated to individuals and organizations.

Most of the displays are going to the Minot Sertoma Club for its Christmas in the Park program.
