MINOT, N.D. – A 20-year-old man charged with burglarizing an east Minot pharmacy last July will spend roughly two more months in jail and pay more than $22,000 in restitution and fines.
Trek Bender pleaded guilty to burglary, theft of property, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Investigators say Bender broke into the KeyCare Pharmacy at the Trinity Medical Arts Center July 18 and fought with a security guard.
Officers called in the SWAT team out of fear Bender may have been armed. He eventually fled the building, though officers managed to track him down.
The guard was treated at the ER for injuries.
Bender was ordered to three years, with him first serving 200 days, though he’ll receive credit for 147 days already served.
Three other charges were dropped.
