Montana Sen. Steve Daines pays a visit to Mexican-American border
After taking a trip to what border patrol agents claim is the highest illegal activity sector of the Mexican-American border, Sen. Steve Daines of Montana says that border patrol agents are “pleading” for something to be done.
Daines, along with Georgia's Sen. Perdue met with border patrol around 2 a.m. last night at the Rio Grande Valley Sector of the southern border. The senator says the border patrol agents they talked with are stopping hundreds of illegal immigrants every night.
"The meth, and these other drugs are tearing our communities apart in Montana. This is meth that is being produced by Mexican cartels. These are huge multi-billion dollar businesses. They make their money through drugs and through moving illegal immigrants across the border," said Daines.
Daines says that every United States senator should be required to get a first-hand look at the crisis. He will be sharing more on Facebook in the following days..
