North Dakota may soon go electronic on Election Day.

Secretary of State Al Jaeger testified in front of a House Appropriations Committee section Monday in favor of placing electronic poll books in every county across the state.

Jaeger says that will help in keeping the system uniform.

He's asking the legislature for $3 million, based on a bid that's already been submitted by a vendor.

Only eight of the state's 53 counties currently use electronic poll books.
