MANDAN, N.D. - A partnership between Sanford and the YMCA has a new Family Wellness getting ready to open their doors in Mandan.

The $13.3 million state-of-the-art facility is a month away from their opening date set for January 17.

The Health and Wellness Center is excited to see what opportunities the new building will bring to the area.

"We're excited. We want to see Bismarck-Mandan as the healthiest community in the country. With the focus on childhood obesity, chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, having a facility like this along the river in Mandan is just going to create a great opportunity to create a healthier environment for us," says Craig Lambrecht, Executive Vice President of Sanford.

The facility is like a YMCA without a pool. It has a wellness center, personal trainers, group exercise studios, cycling and a basketball court. Daycare is also available.

To get a membership you can stop by the Missouri Valley Family YMCA or call them at 255-1525.
