A 32-year-old woman called police Thursday when she says she felt threatened by her roommate and his gun.
The Bismarck Police Department says the woman was being asked for rent by 38-year-old Dannon Haas, when she says things escalated.
The woman told police he came into her room and began trashing it. Officers say the woman went outside to see if Haas was throwing any of her things away and she saw him in the garage pointing a gun at things, like if he was practicing.
Police say she then locked herself in a bathroom and when she heard Haas come back into her room she called 911.
BPD says Haas wasn’t cooperating when they asked him questions about the encounter. They say the man didn’t have the gun on him when they got there but they did find it in the garage.
According to online records, Haas has been charged with terrorizing. His bond was set at $2,500 in cash, no contact with the victim, no alcohol, and to remain in the state.
