DICKINSON, N.D. - The results of last week's bond referendum vote in Dickinson are now official.
The school board's canvassing board certified the results at their meeting Monday night. There were 2,083 votes for and 2,716 against, totaling 4,799 ballots.
No decision was made on the next steps for the high school. District officials say they will be working in the next couple of months to learn why the public voted against the referendum.
“Although the referendum failed, challenges still remain,” Board President Brent Seaks said. “We need to get a better understanding on why people voted no.”
