BISMARCK, N.D.(Valley News Live) - A Grand Forks family has received confirmation that partial human remains found on the Spirit Lake Reservation Sunday night have been identified as those of 39-year-old Joseph Bruce. He was missing for a year.
Now they say they hope those responsible for Bruce's death will come forward.
"I just hope they get what they deserve. They should never see daylight again. Just like they didn't let Joe. They just left him laying somewhere," said Mirana Patanude, Joseph Bruce's widos.
The FBI has taken the lead in the case. Tests need to be done to determine the cause of death. Searchers have only found the skull and are looking for for the rest of the body.
