BISMARCK, N.D. - Movies are a great way to escape from our everyday lives, but it's also an opportunity to learn something. The Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation is teaming up with the Grand Theaters in Bismarck to provide both of those things.
Thursday, Oct. 10, "Raising the Curtain for a Cause" will be a double feature benefiting the BCC Foundation. The documentary, "Going Attractions: The Definitive Story of the Movie Palace" will be shown and will end with the film, "Some Like it Hot". All proceeds will benefit patients of the foundation.
"We treat about 800 patients a year in a 250 mile radius, also with the cancer center we have a foundation and the foundation serves to provide wrap around services for those in retreat. So we have lodging assistance, transportation assistance, massage and physical therapy, spiritual and emotional care and much more," said Sara Kelsch, Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Bismarck Cancer Center, at the door the night of the event or online, bismarckcancercenterfoundation.com
