Produced water spill affects pastureland in McKenzie County

​The state Department of Environmental Quality says 3,500 barrels of produced water spilled from a pipeline leak in McKenzie County.

It happened 8 miles north of Alexander on May 10.

Caliber Midstream North Dakota LLC​ owns and operates the pipeline.

State leaders say pastureland is affected and they're monitoring cleanup.
