MANDAN, N.D. - Mandan's Midtown East District is set to move forward and may use some of those prairie dog funds.

The protest period closed with few complaints, so it now goes to the bid phase.

The $8 million project will reconstruct streets and replace water mains and light poles from Main to Fifth Street and from Collins to Fourth Avenue northeast.

City Commissioners voted to use more than a million dollars of the prairie dog funding.
