Power Outage in Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana, UPDATE: Power is restored in Dickinson

DICKINSON, ND - UPDATE: Power has been restored to Dickinson, according to Montana Dakota Utilities representative.

According to MDU, the power outage in Dickinson was caused by a tree that had fallen on a power line.

1:30 a.m. - Several hundred people were without power Monday morning in western North Dakota and Eastern Montana.

Just after midnight local time, the Dickinson airport reported 77 mile per hour wind gusts.

Montana Dakota Utilities initially reported more than 500 people out of power in Dickinson, as well as people in Belfield, Glendive, MT, Miles City, MT and Poplar, MT.
