Power Outage in southwest Mandan fixed within hours

MANDAN, N.D. - One thousand people in southwest Mandan were out of power Wednesday morning when a public works operator struck a power line.

The employee was emptying snow that was stuck in the lift box of the truck when it became tangled with the service lines.

It took Montana-Dakota Utilities 25 minutes to fix the damage.

Power to residents went out at 8:15 a.m. and was back on by 11 a.m.

Another power outage happened in north Bismarck, impacting 100 people.

The outage happened at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and fixed by 4:05 p.m.
