After a lengthy discussion, the Port of Raymond will remain a 24-hour entryway into Canada.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Gil Kerlikowske said the proposal to reduce hours would be scrapped. Agents tested closing the port for six hours a day, but decided against it.
The port is one of three that are open 24-hours a day along Montana's northern border.
