UPDATE: Mandan police seeking public's help locating suspect in Monday night shooting

UPDATE: The Mandan Police Department needs your help in connection to a shooting that happened last night near McKenzie Avenue.

The department is looking for any information on the vehicle and the person in these photos.

Authorities say when they arrived on scene they found evidence that a gun was fired in the area, which included shell casings.

There's no indications anyone was shot or injured.

ORIGINAL STORY 8/20/2018: Mandan police responded to the corner of 46th Avenue SE and McKenzie Drive SE in Mandan for a possible shooting around 7 Monday evening.

Witnesses say they heard shots fired near the Tesoro gas station and Family Wellness Center.

Mandan Police Department Lt. Pat Haug says there have been no reports of injuries.

A firetruck came to the scene to bring officers a ladder to access the roof, but otherwise only MPD responded to the incident.

The area was secured for potential evidence. By 10 p.m. the crime tape was down.

“The police department received some calls of some possible gun shots in this area. Officers came down and responded. After a little bit of investigation they determined that there was a good possibility some shots were fired," said Haug.

Haug says no one is in custody at this time, and the potential victim took off running.

The incident is still under investigation.
