MANDAN, N.D. - Some people made quite an entrance at Sunday breakfast this morning, they flew in to the Mandan Municipal Airport for pancakes.
Others arrived by car to the annual Planes and Pancakes Fly-In
Trent Palm is the President of the Bismarck-Mandan EAA Chapter. He says events like this encourage young aspiring pilots to learn how to fly. Some were treated to a special fly over of the airport. Palm says this brings back memories of his childhood.
"I was once one of those kids going to the airport, go to fly in breakfast with my uncles, you know. So, getting kids inspired to get involved in the world of aviation, is what kind of excites me the most," said Trent Palm, President EAA Chapter 1008.
More than two thousand people and a hundred planes attended the event.
