Pet microchip event benefits For Belle's Sake

MINOT, N.D. - No one wants their pet to get lost, and to help prevent the unfortunate, For Belle's Sake and The Spot are hosting the first ever Safe Pets event.

On Saturday, The Spot will host microchiping and pet photography from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.

Micochipping a pet can help get them safely back to their owner. A simple chip, smaller than a grain of rice, is placed just under the skin in the back of the pet's neck. In the case of a lost animal, veterinarians and shelters can scan the chip allowing them to ID the lost animal and reunite them with their owner.

Wicked Willow Photography will be taking pictures of your pets for lost flyers. They will photograph each side of your pet as well as any special markings.

Photos are $30 and microchipping is just $10. Part of the proceeds will benefit For Belle's Sake.
