BISMARCK, N.D. - Papa's Pumpkin Patch is closed for the season.
Dave Pearce says it's no fun to be outside in this weather to search for the perfect pumpkin, so he closed down on the Oct. 21.
Papa's Pumpkin Patch ran out of the pumpkins too, which was another reason they closed down so early.
The patch usually closes down before Halloween, but people still continue to drive down the driveway to look for the best pumpkin.
"This is just a silly little farm, this was never intended to be this thing that it has turned into, it kind of morphed. Each year it provides us with a new and fun challenge to think about. How are we going to create more value for our guests next year, because we know that's what it does," said Pearce.
Pearce says production was up despite the drought. They hauled in 467,000 pounds of pumpkins and produce.
