Pair of arrests following weekend gun incidents in Minot

MINOT, N.D. – UPDATE: The two men charged in a series of Minot gun incidents over the weekend made their initial court appearance Monday afternoon.

Prosecutors have charged 28-year-old Timothy Lewis with 17 total charges: one count of attempted murder, along with eight counts each of terrorizing and reckless endangerment.

Meanwhile, 26-year-old Anthony Davis faces felony charges of terrorizing, possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, prohibited possession of a firearm, and a misdemeanor charge of false information to law enforcement.

Both men will appear for their preliminary hearing and arraignment May 30.


ORIGINAL STORY: Minot Police say they have arrested two men following a series of gun incidents in Minot late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

Police say they responded to a report of gunshots in the 1500 block of Terrace Drive around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, and while on scene, a second report of shots fired came in around 12:15 a.m. in the 2200 block of Landmark Circle.

Police arrested a 28-year-old man for attempted murder, as well as eight counts each of reckless endangerment and terrorizing.

Officers arrested a second 26-year-old man after a third report of a man pulling a gun on a resident at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of 12th Street NW.

Investigators say they believe the second man fled from the scene of the original shooting. They arrested him for terrorizing, false information to law enforcement, possession of ecstasy, and possession of certain firearms prohibited.

No one was hurt in any of the incidents.
