Operation Intern helps businesses hire summer employees

BISMARCK, N.D. - It could be easier for businesses to hire summer employees this year thanks to Operation Intern.

The state will help businesses hire up to five student interns each by matching $4,000 worth of costs.

That can be used for wages, equipment, tuition reimbursement and more.

Businesses based in energy, advanced manufacturing, value added agriculture, tourism, and technology will be given preference, but others will also be considered.

Workforce ND will accept applications through May 17.
