STANLEY, N.D. – A Dagmar, Mont. man charged in the deaths of two people in a head-on fatal crash in October has pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutors have charged 63-year-old Douglas Landis with two counts of negligent homicide.
According to court records, investigators say Landis was driving a semi-tractor pulling a trailer on Highway 23 in New Town on Oct. 5
They say Landis crossed the center and collided with a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup, David Wilcox, and the passenger, Taylor Denny, both died in the crash.
Landis will appear for his pretrial conference Aug. 22. He faces up to five years on each count if convicted.
