North Dakota fair board rejects tobacco-free day

North Dakota State Fair officials have decided against holding a tobacco-free day at next year's event.

The state Health Department and Bismarck tobacco prevention coalition had asked the fair board to designate Family-Military Day as smoke free at the 2020 event.

Fair Board President Gary Knell says it would be difficult to make a fairgrounds ban work.
