North Dakota Science Olympiad needs volunteers after recent storm

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) - Due to the recent weather conditions, North Dakota Science Olympiad had to cancel the state competition initially scheduled for Saturday, April 13.

Co-director of North Dakota Science Olympiad Jeremy Straub tells Valley News Live this is an essential event for students across the region.

"The teams that attend the state meet at NDSU have spent significant time preparing for their event. The state competition is the culmination of their hard work, for most teams, and critical to selecting students to advance to the national competition," said Straub.

According to Straub, they're hoping to reschedule the event to April 27, but they need volunteers with backgrounds in math and science to do so.
