BISMARCK, N.D. - Whether you're traveling to Paris or Winnipeg, you need a passport.
Every so often the post office holds a passport fair to help more people get the documents they need.
Normal hours for passport appointments end at 2 pm, but during this event, walk-ins are welcome and hours are extended.
Bismarck issues more than a thousand passports a year and up to 40 during the fair.
"People are really excited. They usually have vacation plans, or going to see relatives and loved ones so getting the passport is very exciting for them," said Stacy Kadrmas, U. S. Postal Service.
The next passport fair will be on July 24.
