Some young adults partnered with the Dakota Center for Independent Living to advocate for better opportunities.

Youth Empowering Social Status is a transition program spreading awareness on disabilities and promotes self-confidence.

“We really hoping to change the stigma after you graduate high school that you have to go to college or that you have to be something that you're not, and just really empowering people to be who they are and to be involved in the community in any way that they want to contribute,” said President Erin Pasley.

Pasley says they are confident this will be a bridge the community needs.
