BISMARCK, N.D. - A couple years ago, North Dakota had a nuclear powered submarine named after it: USS. North Dakota.

This year, the U.S. Navy has again honored North Dakota with the construction of a new naval support ship, named the USNS City of Bismarck.

The ship is designed to move troops and equipment in a theater of operations. It will have a civilian crew of 24 and it will be able to carry 312 troops and their equipment.
