MINOT, N.D. - Sanford Health has expanded its services in Minot. July 28 the new northwest clinic opened.
Since coming to Minot, Sanford Health says it has served more than 100,000 patients.
Administrators say the clinic is hoping to have 13 providers and 35 staff members, some specializing in fields such as pediatric and adult oncology, as well as general surgery.
The clinic has 16 exam rooms, two procedure rooms, an X-ray area and a lab. Administrators say with this new clinic in place they hope to be able to serve more people in rural areas.
"For us, it's convenience. It's care close to home. So care close to home is an added convenience in each city that we are in. So it gives us, part of a goal strategy is to be a part of Minot community, says Michael LeBeau, Sanford Health W. Region VP Clinic Operations.
"We're really excited to be in Minot to be able to offer these services to the members of our community. I think it's a great opportunity for Sanford to be able to expand into this area," says Wendy Haaland, Sanford Health Northwest Clinic Family Nurse Practioner.
Sanford clinic is located at 1500 21st Ave. NW. and starting August 1 it will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
