BISMARCK, N.D. - The North Dakota Department of Human Services is launching a new background check authorization form that will impact Childcare Services.
Three forms for criminal background checks will be merged into one. The form will simplify processing and reduce redundancies for the department and applicants.
"By simplifying the form and providing them with some extra tools in completing that form, we are hoping that that is really going to cut down the number of returns; if not, eliminate them altogether,” said Tara Reed, NDHS program specialist.
According to Human Services, Child Care is among the largest professions to apply for background checks through the department.
