BISMARCK, N.D. - The North Dakota Department of Insurance launched the first state agency LiveChat app for customer assistance and production licensing.
North Dakotans can now chat directly with an employee about their insurance questions without pick making a phone call.
"It doesn't interrupt your day as much as a phone call, and I think a lot of people today tend to want to do it over a computer or over text or something like that. So it's an opportunity for us to reach people the way I think they want to be reached," said Insurance Commissioner Jon Godfread.
To access the app, go the Department of Insurance Website, where the LiveChat tab will automatically pop up on the screen when an operator is available.
