New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, D-N.J., is in North Dakota campaigning for Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D.
Booker says Heitkamp was the one to sway his vote on removing the oil export ban and he wants to see her re-elected. Booker will be traveling with Heitkamp throughout the state, making stops in Ft Yates, Killdeer and Dickinson.
Booker told New York Magazine in September he is considering a presidential run in 2020 but when we asked about it, he deflected.
"If I was going to run somebody for president, I would want somebody like her that's a uniter in this country. Lets reelect her, but frankly lets get her spirit that's not about tribalism and not about hating other Americans, we need Heidi Heitkamp's spirit more in American politics," said Booker.
