MINOT, N.D.- Ward County officials will begin searching for a full-time human resources director.
During a special session of the County Commissioners Wednesday morning, they passed a motion to create the position.
They also passed a motion to hire a new payroll technician that will assist the new H.R. director. The commissioners discussed the responsibilities of both positions at the meeting.
“Hiring and selection is such a key role for the H.R. department, so they should be responsible for directing and coordinating all of the hiring process,” said Genny Dienstmann, representative from the North Dakota Association of Counties.
The commissioners say they're hoping to fill the payroll technician job by the end of this month, and then focus on filling the H.R. director roll.
