A Nevada man changed his plea to guilty for assaulting a Watford City police officer in March.
Watford City Police Department says after reporting to the scene of a fight behind a bar, 27-year-old Mathew Hill was identified, and had warrants out of Nevada and McKenzie County for his arrest.
According to court documents, Hill took off running and one officer ordered him to the ground, but Hill fought, and placed the officer into a choke-hold. The altercation left the officer with a bloody nose, scrapes, and body pain, according to law enforcement.
Hill was eventually arrested.
Hill is charged with aggravated assault preventing arrest, and refusal to halt.
