CNN - Netflix says it plans to spend $8 billion to keep its subscribers happy in 2018.
That's money going to new and original content.
Netflix spent $6 billion on content last year.
The announcement comes after the streaming company gained 5 million new subscribers this year and also said it was going to raise prices for its services.
A company spokesman says Netflix wants to stay ahead of the competition in the decades to come.
Apple, Amazon and Facebook are all trying to expand their own streaming services.
