Neighborhood Crime Watch Program slowly declining

BISMARCK, N.D. - When you're away from your home for a period of time, you want someone to have your back if they see something suspicious happening around your home.

That's the goal of the Neighborhood Crime Watch Program in Bismarck.

Officer Clint Fuller with the Bismarck Police Department says active crime watches have been slowly declining because time is an issue, but it's important to have one in your community.

"I think it's just one more thing. People look at it as it's just one more thing in my day that I have to contend with and they just don't want to be the person that's calling the police or be the one in charge and stuff like that," said Fuller.

If you want your neighborhood to be part of this crime watch program you can call Fuller at BPD: 701-223-1212.
