NDSU Wins FCS National Championship, 8th title in 9 years

FRISCO, TEXAS - Number one ranked NDSU wins 8th FCS national title in 9 years beating number two James Madison 28 to 20. The Bison were led by Walter Payton award winner Trey Lance. The Bison freshman racked up 166 yards on the ground including a 44 yard touchdown run on 3rd and 22 to start the 4th quarter.

Another huge play was a successful fake field goal for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter that gave the Bison a 21-10 lead.
The game was sealed when James Hendricks picked off a JMU pass with 2 seconds to go.
The win extends NDSU's win streak to 37 straight games.
