The North Dakota Department of Transportation and the North Dakota Highway Patrol are working to open roads that were closed due to the storm.
They say the are continuing to assess main roads such as I-94, but their progress has been slowed because of the weather as well as vehicles stranded on the roadway after people were rescued.
For the most current information, they say to monitor the NDDOT travel information map or download the NDRoads app.
The departments advise that people do not travel on closed roads or roads listed as no travel advised.
Drivers could be issued a $250 fine for entering closed roadways.
