ND Game and Fish Department says recent brood survey shows pheasant population improvement

North Dakota's annual pheasant brood survey shows total pheasants are up 10 percent from last year and broods have increased by 17 percent.

North Dakota Game and Fish Department officials say that's a steady improvement from a dismal year in 2017.

The numbers released Monday are a good sign in the northwest, which is up 49 percent from 2018 and southeast up 32 percent.
