The North Dakota Department of Transportation is undertaking a first-of-its-kind statewide transportation plan.
Never before has a study been done on all facets of transportation across the state. The first step of the project, dubbed “ND Moves” are open houses. They're asking the public what they think is working and what’s not. They're looking for feedback on walking, biking, driving, flying, railways and more.
"Its real critical you know that we get it done otherwise they don't have a good way of knowing how to allocate resources,” Land Use Planner Steve Mullen said.
After gathering public input, officials will get together after the holidays to review what the biggest priorities are and what they need to focus on moving forward.
