ND Country Fest kicks off third year

NEW SALEM, N.D. - The third annual ND Country Fest has officially kicked off.

Gates opened Thursday afternoon for a free night of live music. More than 800 camp sites have been reserved for the three-day festival. And there are changes this year to the stage, lighting, and VIP tents, as well as more vendors.

“In the process of reinventing really in the course of the whole year, so people that have come out to ND Country Fest before I think they'll be stunned at all the additions and changes,” said John Gourley, director of talent and marketing.

Big names will be taking to the stage this weekend including Jake Owen, Travis Tritt and David Lee Murphy. Tickets are still available for the weekend.
