ND Coalition for Homeless People closes its doors, not affecting local coalition

BISMARCK, N.D. - The North Dakota Coalition for Homeless People (NDCHP) has shut down due to lack of funding.

But, this sudden closing doesn't affect the Missouri Valley Coalition for Homeless People locally, because MVCHP is a regional coalition that doesn't receive funding from the NDCHP.

"The coalition will continue to work hard to provide shelter and services for the homeless. Currently I'm working with numerous organizations to put a long term plan together for an emergency shelter that's needed in the community," saID Jeannie Messall, director of the Missouri Valley Coalition for Homeless People.

Funding here for the regional coalition isn't being affected by the closing of NDCHP.
