MANDAN, N.D. - North Dakota's suicide rate is higher than the national average, that's according to North Dakota's Behavioral Health division.
Mandan's Fire & Iron Motorcycle Club presented a check for 7,805 dollars to the North Dakota Suicide Prevention Coalition. The money will help provide resources to help prevent suicide in the state.
"For firefighters, you know, there's times we see too much and we all need help in life sometimes and these guys provide it and that's perfect for us," said Fire & Iron MC President, Mike Forest.
Club President, Mike Forest said suicide has touched almost everyone in some way, and that's why they decided to raise money for the coalition.
